A catch-all mailbox receives emails sent to inactive email addresses under the same domain name. For instance, an email message sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. Thus, you can receive messages from pals or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a typographical error or to an out-of-date one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Just one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at a certain moment you may begin receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction implies that the spam will not be re-sent to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

Setting up a catch-all e-mailbox will be incredibly easy in case you have a cloud plan with us. You can activate this option through our powerful, yet simple-to-work-with Email Manager, which is an indivisible part of the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you will manage the shared web hosting account itself. You will see all the mailboxes that you’ve set up shown alphabetically and next to each one of them there will be a mini "Catch-all" icon, which will immediately inform you whether a certain mailbox gets all the emails associated with a certain domain or not. With one click on the icon you can enable or disable this option whenever you like. In case there is enabled email forwarding or if another mailbox has already been configured as a catch-all one for a given domain, you will receive a warning from our system. The latter will not deactivate/replace anything automatically and without your permission.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

You will be able to create a catch-all address with no more than one click in case you have a semi-dedicated plan with our company and your emails are handled by our cloud web hosting platform. All the mailboxes that you set up with any domain name hosted in the account will be displayed in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel. Each of them will have a small-size "Catch-all" icon next to it, so all it will take to enable this feature will be to click that icon. In the exact same fashion you will be able to turn off the feature, if you don’t need it any longer. Our system will notify you if you’re attempting to activate a second catch-all mailbox for a given domain or in case there’s active email forwarding, but it’ll never change or deactivate any feature automatically or without your permission.
